Ever since I had kids, I rarely go the movies anymore...Not only is it difficult for me to find someone to watch them while I go, but I also think it is very expensive to go to a theatre and most times not even worth it because current movies are so bad...With that said, I decided to go the movies when my mom was in town, to watch "It's Complicated"...
I'm pleased to say that I spent a wonderful two hours watching a movie that was certainly enjoyable...
The movie is a story about a divorced couple, who after 10 years of being apart, begin having an affair... Meryl Streep does a great job in being that liberated woman who's finally getting back on her feet after a traumatic split, where her husband of 20+ years (Alec Baldwin) cheated on her with a younger woman...
Alec Baldwin also does a great job with his character; he is the ex, who is bored with his marriage and decides to pursue his ex-wife for an affair...
It turns out, they start having awesome sex and a great relationship and all of a sudden the issues they had when they were married are no longer there... crazy, huh?
In the end, Alec Baldwin leaves his wife to start a new relationship with his ex-wife (Streep) and she turns him down because she realizes it wouldn't work out anyways...well, that, and she falls in love with someone else (Steve Martin)...
It's a funny and refreshing movie that I highly recommend to anyone who wants to go to the movies to have fun a good time!
