The Sony Ericsson Open is currently being played in Key Biscayne, FL. It's no secret that my dear hubby is a big tennis fan....Having played since he was 9 years old, tennis is one of Iggy's biggest hobbies, so I really enjoy sharing his hobby. We were able to attend the open on Sunday and Monday and had a wonderful time. On Sunday, although it rained a bit, we were able to see Roger Federer play and we also saw some other good matches. On Monday night the weather was great; we were able to see some good players in action and Iggy had a blast...
Here are some pictures I took on Sunday...

A Hip Saturday....
Today was our first Saturday back in town and it was a beautiful day!
Iggy came back from Dominican Republic on Thursday and we decided to spend some weekend time together...
Today we had a great time @ Lincoln Rd in Miami Beach...such a hip place...We walked around, listened to some live music, met a few friends, and shopped around the little stores on that street...
After a nice walk, we went to an art exhibit at the Miami Beach Convention Center...
Olivia had a great time and we were able to enjoy a nice sunny day! Thank God for Florida's weather! ;)

We are back home!!!
So yesterday we finally came back home!! It feels nice to say the least... I was already very exhausted from the whole trip and the minor things, like not sleeping in my bed or showering in my bathroom!!
We had an awesome time and Iggy's family was great to us as usual... Olivia was BAD on the plane ride and we spent hours at the airport going through the million check points that they have set up... by the time we set foot in Miami I was so tired!
We got to our house around 11:30pm, put Olivia to bed and watched some TV. Iggy will be leaving to Dominican Republic today and I will miss him terribly...
Ohhh!!! the joys of coming back!!

Gabriel and Maria's Wedding...
We had a wonderful day yesterday... full of emotions and happy moments as my brother in law finally tied the knot in a beautiful Catholic ceremony. Him and his now wife Maria Jose had been dating for almost 7 years, so everyone was happy to see them walking down the aisle. They are such a cute couple....
The ceremony was gorgeous and so many of their friends and family were there to witness that big moment. She looked absolutely gorgeous and they both were glowing....
A reception was held for 300 guests and there were tons of food, good music and great entertainment... it was an awesome wedding...
Here are a few pictures...

A day at the pool...
While we're still vacationing in Venezuela, we had the chance of spending a relaxing day at the pool...It is great to soak up some sun and enjoy time as a family. Although the water was a bit cold, we were able to swim for a bit and Olivia loved walking around in her new bathing suit. At first she was afraid of the water and not too happy about the cold temperature, but then she jumped right in and played with us... It was such a fun day and a great opportunity to relax a few hours before Gabriel's wedding, which will be celebrated tonight....
We're ready for all the fun this day will bring....
Here's Olivia relaxing in the lounging chair.. She looks so cute in this picture...

Olivia is 20 months today
We are only 4 months away from Olivia's 2nd birthday, how exciting!!!
She is officially 20 months today and smarter than ever.. She is an amazingly clever little girl with great social and verbal skills.
Olivia is very engaging and is able to be the center of attention everywhere she goes; it amazes me that she never stops and rarely gets tired..
She's still a great eater, a great sleeper and a great toddler in general..
We're currently in Venezuela so she has had the opportunity to spend time with Iggy's family. I am happy to say that she has been great with everyone and is happy to get to know new people and share moments with those who live far from us...
I'm so proud of her and I'm getting very excited about her being a big sister! I love my baby girl! Happy 20 months Olivia!

Gabriel and Maria's Civil Wedding Ceremony
So... after 7 long years of having a girlfriend, my brother in law is legally a married man. Him and his girlfriend have tied the knot after dating for the past 7 years. He proposed to her over a year ago and they were legally married today in a very emotional civil ceremony. The celebration was beautiful and everyone was very excited to see them get married after such a long courtship. They are very much in love and I wish them a happy life together.
The whole party was amazing; there were beautiful flower arrangements all over the place, yummy food, lovely music and a great crowd. They will be married in the Catholic church this coming Friday and we are all very excited about that celebration too.
Here's a picture of "the kiss" they shared after they were pronounced husband and wife by the notary public..
In this picture, the were signing the court papers that would officially make them a married couple... they were both so happy.

Trip to Venezuela: our plane ride
We woke up very early this morning to catch a plane to Venezuela... our trip has officially begun. The plane was scheduled to leave at 7:30am so my dad took us to the airport at 5:00am. We were lucky enough to check in fairly quickly and the flight was great. The plane was half empty so we were able to sleep comfortably and take up some extra seats. Olivia also slept the whole time, which made the trip even easier and more pleasant.
We arrived in Caracas around 10:00am and Danay and Eduardo picked us up at the airport. We then drove straight to Valencia and arrived here at around 1:00pm... it was a good ride.
Tomorrow we will go to my brother in law's civil wedding ceremony and we'll spend the whole week in Valencia. The church wedding will be on the 20th and I'm sure we'll have a blast.. I'll keep posting about our trip as time goes by...

Couple's night out!
Tonight was a great night since Iggy and I got a chance to go out by ourselves...
My mom was kind enough to babysit for us and we went to a concert together. It was a "Franco De Vita" concert; he is a famous venezuelan singer whom we both like very much. The concert was jammed packed and he sang most of our favorite songs.. It was great to see Franco in concert again and the crowd had such a good vibe...
Afterwards, we picked up Olivia and came home.. what a great time we had!
